After months of watching everyone else take home the accolades, "Twilight" saga star Ashley Greene had an extra bounce in her step Sunday night, when she attended the Teen Choice Awards. For the first time, she had been nominated for something by herself — Choice Fresh Face Female — an award she would take home before the evening was over.

"[The only thing I've been nominated for until now] is just ensemble," Greene said. "Oh my gosh, it's so cool. I got the phone call, and I was like, 'Are you serious?' It's exciting."

"We were in Italy for those four or five days, and it was nutty," Greene remembered of the shoot, which director Chris Weitz has said had a Twilighter in virtually every spot that wasn't on camera, watching them film. "The amount of people that were in this tiny little town, it took 45 minutes to go, like, 5 feet."

Even before "Twilight" won 11 awards, including Best Drama, at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night (August 9), two of the movie's stars, Kellan Lutz and Jackson Rathbone, had theories about the secret to the film's overwhelming success with teenagers.

"I got to pull for our brother, Rob, but, I mean, Taylor [Lautner's] a great guy," he said, not knowing at the time that both guys would end up taking home a prize. "We're caught between a lot of our friends, a lot of our friends are nominated so just stay politically correct. So it's the teens' choice, whatever they decide."

The Vancouver Sun interviewed Jodelle Ferland about joining Eclipse.

Jodelle Micah Ferland didn't know much about Stephenie Meyer's vampire saga before Twilight was released late last year, but she's catching up fast.
"I hadn't heard much about Twilight when it first came out," she said in a phone interview from Playland.
"Now I know what it is, obviously," she laughed.
Eclipse will be Ferland's second time working with Twilight star Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella Swan, the mortal teen who falls for vampire Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson.
"I'm not allowed to say, but I can tell you I am playing a newborn vampire," she confirmed.

Had you read the Twilight books before you went out for the part?

No, actually. And even though the first movie had come out by the time I heard about the role, I still didn’t have a clear idea what a huge production this was and what an insane cult following it has. It didn’t quite hit me until Comic-Con. I mean, people slept outside overnight just to get a glimpse of the cast, and then, you know, we go into this auditorium, and screen a clip of the movie, and the fans are just screaming, like, the loudest noise I’ve ever heard. And the screaming would die down for a minute, and then Rob [Pattinson] would brush his hair out of his eyes or something, and that’s all it would take for the screaming to start up again.

Do you look at Robert Pattinson and think, yikes, that’s going to be my life in a few months?

I’m not sure it will be the same thing. My part is relatively small, and then I’m not coming back until the fourth film, so I’d like to think I can stay under-the-radar. All that fame, I mean, I know it’s something Rob has been struggling with, because it happened so quickly to him and in such a massive way. I like being able to walk down my street without being recognized, and I don’t like people knowing my business. So what I’d prefer, rather than go for some big blockbuster after this, is to build my career up slowly, with some indies, things like that. Good scripts, good directors. I’ve managed to have a lot of longevity as a model because I never got overexposed. I’m hoping I can have the same kind of career as an actress.

Christian Serratos: I thought it was really entertaining when I saw a Harry Potter character. [Laughs.] We were like, "Whoa!"
MTV: What do you have in your "Twilight" clothes collection?
Serratos: I have a lot of "Twilight" gear. I love the hoodies that say "vampires" and "werewolves," but I refuse to get one because I can't choose; I have to have them both. I have the Team Edward T-shirt, but I also have Team Jacob.
MTV: OK, so let's talk "New Moon" a little bit. How was the shoot?
Serratos: Chris [Weitz] was amazing, like, fantastic. I was really happy working with him. We shot in Vancouver [British Columbia], which was a good change from Portland [Oregon]. I love the city Portland, and I've been back there since, but in Vancouver the weather was a lot better, and I didn't wanna die at the end of the day, because it wasn't extremely cold. I'm excited to go film "Eclipse." That's gonna be next month already — they are already cranking it out.

'The Twilight Saga' continues this fall with the release of 'New Moon,' while 'Eclipse' will begin filming this month. ET caught up with screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, who also is the head writer for "Dexter," to talk about what fans can expect from the next two movies.
ET: What can you tell us about 'New Moon' and 'Eclipse'?
Melissa Rosenberg: It becomes bigger in scope. The first film was really a small romance in a way. There was the battle with James (Cam Gigandet) at the end. That was as big as it got. With 'New Moon,' we have the werewolf clan, we have the Vulturi -- and in 'Eclipse,' there is an epic battle, so with every book, with every episode of the movie, it gets grander in scope, which is fun to write. What was great about that, too, is with the small story and the characters ... to be able to grow with it and track it through, it has really been a great pleasure.
ET: What was the set of 'New Moon' like?
Melissa Rosenberg: 'New Moon' was one of the happiest sets I have ever been on. The guy who picked me up, said, "This is a great set. [Director] Chris Weitz is a genius. It is so wonderful." I was, "Okay, dude, you are overselling." But I got on the set and it was just delightful. You can tell when it is uncomfortable and they are not connecting. Chris Weitz is just a Zen master. I went to him and I was, "You are so cool and calm. And everyone is so cool and calm." He said, "You have no idea what it is going to cost me." My husband is a director and I know what it costs him. You have to tamp down every ounce of panic and frustration in order to project this calmness. I hope Chris got a good vacation between production and post.

TwiCon Day 1 Report

I woke up...

Okay, never mind that part.

I arrived at the Sheraton at about 1:30, an hour and a half before registration was supposed to start. Still, around 50 people were already there. We were divided in lines according to our last name, and I was like the 10th person in our line.

A few hours later, I was so ready to go in! That's me in the pink shirt...

I stopped at the vendors Hall for a few minutes, and bought everything Jasper related I found (I'll post pictures later).

Then, at 5:00 pm, we were supposed to go to the Welcome Ceremony...

It started with a little presentation with the guys from the Hillywood Show. Here's a video (not mine), with what they said. It was really funny.

Then, Allen and Craig from Evil Iguana Productions, came to present their new Twilight Spoof:

Then we met with the owner of Crepusculo Mexico, the Mexican fansite. She was really nice, and we had so much fun!

And last but not least....

we went to take a walk with our amazing new "I LOVE JASPER HALE" and "I LOVE EMMETT CULLEN" bags!'

After two articles on TMZ and MTV broke out yesterday, saying that Breaking Dawn's contents are very similar to Jordan Scott's book 'The Nocturne'.

Here's what the Lexicon has to say:

First let us start out by saying that we are completely biased here. We have been online as a Stephenie Meyer fansite since March 2006. And because of our relationship built over three years with Stephenie Meyer, we have no reason to doubt her word. So when the story first broke today on TMZ, we decided to do several things:
1. We looked at the version of the book in question that is available online
2. We asked Little Brown the publishing company for an official response
3. We started to research Ms. Scott herself
So we wrote up our preliminary findings here. Now what we found particularly interesting is that the attorney involved then decided to give a follow up to MTV. That’s right, MTV. It’s a unique tactic first TMZ now MTV. Could it be that he has something for initials, or is it possibly that those sites generally have a target audience that mirrors the demographic Ms. Scott’s novel and career are directed towards? Oh heck, maybe it’s just sheer coincidence.
As many of you know, much of Breaking Dawn came from Stephenie’s first sequel she wrote to Twilight called Forever Dawn. In fact, Alphie got to read this book back in February of 2006 and stands by what Stephenie says on her website.
“The basic story [between Forever Dawn and Breaking Dawn] is the same. Bella and Edward get married and go to Isle Esme for their honeymoon. Bella gets pregnant with Renesmee. The birth just about kills Bella, but Edward makes her a vampire in time. Jacob imprints on Renesmee. Alice has a vision of the Volturi coming to destroy the Cullens with the “immortal child” as their excuse. Alice bails. Bella’s shielding abilities turn the tide in the Cullen’s favor, along with Alice bringing home another half-vampire to prove that Nessie isn’t a danger.”

MTV: What can you tell us about Dakota Fanning's performance as the evil vampire Jane?
Weitz: Well, it's the scariest performance probably you've seen out of her so far, because she's evil for once in her career. I think she really appreciated the chance to do that.

USAToday has an article on how the Twilight books have stayed at the top of the bestsellers lists for many months. I'm really surprised at these numbers, but I'm so glad for Stephenie! You go, girl!

Stephenie Meyer's four-book Twilight series has sunk its fangs into USA TODAY's Best-Selling Books list — with no signs of letting go. Meyer's domination of the list for the past 12 months has smashed records that until now had belonged to J.K. Rowling.

This week, Meyer's novels are Nos. 4, 5, 6 and 7 on USA TODAY's list.
Rowling, overall, has sold more books than Meyer — her seven-book series about boy wizard Harry Potter has 143 million copies in print in the USA, while Meyer has sold 40 million copies of her four books. But Rowling can't match Meyer's control of the list.

Readers of this blog know about my love of all things vampire; obviously, I became a diehard Twihard about two seconds after the movie came out. I was thrilled to discover Beauty 411’s
breakdown of the actual products that makeup artist Jeanne Van Phue used on set.

It rained nearly every day, which was challenging. Then Van Phue discovered that SK-II AirTouch Makeup and Smashbox Limitless Lash Waterproof Mascara in Black were streakproof, and added them into the mix.

Hair:

No, it's not just that he doesn't wash it often (which I happen to find MANLY--as one who used to go to many nightclubs in New York--all of them teeming withlame male model types--nothing repels me more than a man with a meticulously cared-for, extra-silky bob that he constantly tucks behind his ears). It's that on set, Twilight stylists use Redken mousse on R-Patz, and likely plenty of it.

Robert to be the new cover of Vanity Fair

E!Online reports he will be in the new cover, so that's exciting. I can just say he will look amazing and I'm so buying that issue!

Robert Pattinson has another magazine cover coming up—and thankfully, it's not some far-fetched tabloid bullcrap this time around.

No word yet on if he's even been shot for VF, but I think it's safe to assume it will be out this fall in conjunction with the November release of New Moon.

On what to look forward to in NM:
"Something to really look forward to is Jackson Rathbone's scene when he's playing Jasper, and Bella cuts her finger at her birthday party. He really loses himself there. He really transformed himself and got there, so it was really cool to see. And I think the fans will really like to see that and be surprised with how fierce he looked and got."

“What character do you play in the movie?’” a young female fan asked as Kiowa Gordon posed for pictures. “Embry Call,” replied Gordon, who was recently cast as one of five werewolves in the upcoming sequel to the blockbuster “Twilight” called “New Moon.” The movie and its sequels are based on novels by Stephanie Meyer.
